RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency is making available today a CD-ROM of the Whiteface Mountain Intensive Use Ski Area Unit Management Plan (UMP) developed by the Olympic Regional Development Authority and the Department of Environmental Conservation.
The Agency is scheduled to hear a presentation on the UMP at its regular monthly meeting at the State Land Committee, which will be held at the Ray Brook Headquarters on April 15, 2004, at 2:00 PM. This meeting is open to the public.
Please submit written public comments on the Plan to the Agency by May 4, 2004. Comments should be addressed to Sunita Halasz at:

UMPs are submitted to the Agency for review and determination of compliance with the guidelines and criteria set forth in the State Land Master Plan. The Agency follows a two-meeting review cycle where the first meeting is used to introduce the plan, and the second meeting is used to hear staff recommendations and carry out a vote. The earliest meeting at which a staff recommendation and vote would take place is the May Agency meeting which will be held on May 13th and 14th in Ray Brook.
