RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on December 9 and 10 at the Agency's headquarters in Ray Brook, NY.
The Agency will conduct all of its Agency business during the day on Thursday December 9. A special meeting, of the Regulatory Program Committee, regarding The Preserve at Tupper Lake will commence later that evening at 7:00 PM. The meeting place is the Tupper Lake High School Auditorium located on 25 Chaney Avenue in the Village of Tupper Lake. The applicant, Preserve Associates LLC, will present conceptual plans for their proposed large-scale resort/residential project involving the Big Tupper Ski Area. The Public will have the opportunity to comment and is encouraged to attend. The following morning the Regulatory Programs Committee will return to Ray Brook to continue its conceptual review discussion. All sessions are open to the public.
The Full Agency will convene at 9:00 on Thursday morning.
At 9:15, the Economic Affairs Committee will hear a presentation on the status of the four business/commerce parks located inside the Park: Chesterfield, Willsboro, Harrietstown and Ticonderoga. The Agency has worked with these communities to ensure the sites are "shovel ready".
At 10:15, the Park Policy and Planning Committee will convene to determine approvability for three technical map amendments to the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan map. The proposed amendments are located in Essex County in the Towns of Minerva and North Hudson.
At 11:00, the public meeting will adjourn for Agency Members and Designees to receive advice of Counsel. The Public meeting will resume after lunch. At 1:00, the Regulatory Program Committee will discuss a project proposed by Finch, Pruyn and Company. The project, a two-lot subdivision involving wetlands, is located in the Towns of Newcomb and North Hudson, Essex County.
At 2:00, the Park Ecology Committee will hear a report from the Department of Environmental Conservation on their Forest Pest Management Program, followed by a year-end summary report on the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program. The Committee will also consider a resolution saluting Robin Ulmer. Ms. Ulmer is retiring after 14 years as the Executive Director of the Boquet River Association.
At 3:30, the full Agency board will convene to hear committee reports and take actions as appropriate.
The next Agency meeting is scheduled for January 13 and 14, 2004, at Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters in Ray Brook, New York.
