• NYS Department of Transportation’s proposed reconstruction of approximately 2.8 miles of New York State Route 30 from Maddox Road to Queen Street including the causeway near the Raquette River, Tupper Lake and Simon Ponds. The project includes construction of two parking areas and the under grounding of certain existing overhead utilities. The project is located in the Town of Tupper Lake, Franklin County. Key issues include: wetland impacts and mitigation, underground installation of existing overhead utilities, rest areas and scenic vista enhancement, coordination of public utilities within the right-of-way, road reconstruction and shoreline stabilization along the highway

• Rondaxe Lake Association proposed dam replacement. The proposed project consists of replacement of the existing timber dam with a new rock dam on Rondaxe Lake. The reconstruction will increase the size of the existing dam from 2200 square feet to 4160 square feet requiring a shoreline setback variance. The site is located in the Town of Webb, Herkimer County. Key issue is wetland impacts.

• Wakely Lodge Cottage Colony. The proposed project includes construction of 25 duplex housekeeping cottages for a total of 50 tourist accommodation units, an office building, access road and parking, lighting, and community water and wastewater treatment systems. This project is located in the Town of Indian Lake, Hamilton County. Key issues include open space/aesthetics, wetlands and conformance with local land use controls.

• Phase III of the Sandy Lane Estates Subdivision. The project is being re-noticed because it was reduced to an eleven-lot subdivision. The project consists of the subdivision of 101± acres on the west side of NYS Route 9N into 10 new building lots and a 1.50± acre subdivision road and stormwater retention parcel. The project also includes access to Lake George for the new building lots over an existing 3.71± acre subdivision road/shoreline access parcel. This project is located in the Town of Bolton, Warren County.

• Installation of a residential wind-powered turbine. The action involves the installation of a structure greater than 40 feet in height. The applicant proposes installation of a wind-powered turbine to generate electricity to provide power to an existing single-family dwelling. The proposed tower is a 100-foot tall, guyed, 12-inch diameter monopole, with turbine blades that are 22 feet in diameter. The maximum height of the tower and blades is 111 feet.
