RAY BROOK, NY - Governor Spitzer names Cecil Wray interim Chairman of the Adirondack Park Agency.
Long-time member of the Adirondack Park Agency, Cecil Wray, has been designated interim Chairman of the Agency Board by Governor Eliot Spitzer. Mr. Wray was appointed to the Agency in June 1999 and has served as chair of the Legal/Enforcement and Planning/State Land Committees. In addition, he is a member of the Administration Committee. He resides in Keene and New York City.
Mr. Wray stated, “It was with enthusiasm that I accepted the Governor’s request to chair the Agency for the immediate future. This is an awesome responsibility but I am reassured by the fact that this organization is supported by a superb Board and staff.”
Mr. Wray is a retired partner of the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton where his practice focused on general corporate matters. He also was previously an Adjunct Professor at New York Law School. Mr. Wray served as a Law Clerk to United States Supreme Court Justice Tom C. Clark.
