RAY BROOK, NY –Adirondack Park Agency Status Update on Telecommunication Projects in the Adirondack Park.
Weekly status report for telecommunication projects approved, currently under review or projects submitted but deemed incomplete.
The Agency has not received any new applications this week for telecommunication projects. Incomplete applications remain incomplete as of February 1, 2008.
Since 1977 thru 12/31/07:
•108 permit and/or amendment approvals for telecommunication projects
Since January 1, 2008:
•2 telecommunication applications approved
•1 telecommunication application currently under review
•2 telecommunication applications submitted but deemed incomplete
•0 telecommunication applications submitted for temporary towers

The current project under review, the Verizon Schroon Falls site, is part of Verizon’s Northway Corridor Plan. This plan will cover the Northway between Lake George, Exit 21 and Keeseville, Exit 34 and consists of 18 sites including 5 existing and 13 proposed.
In January 2008, the Agency approved two telecommunication towers. These towers will be located in the Town of Lake George, Warren County and the Town of Lewis, Essex County.
Presently the Agency does not have any applications for temporary towers along the Northway.
