RAY BROOK, NY – The regularly scheduled January Agency meeting will not take place on January 8 and 9, 2009. The meeting is canceled due to the absence of agenda items that require Agency action. In addition, the Agency based its decision on its management policy to be fiscally responsible in allocating state resources.
The Agency will resume its regularly scheduled meetings on February 12-13, 2009.
The New York State Adirondack Park Agency was created in 1971 by the State Legislature to develop long-range land use plans for both public and private lands within the boundary of the Adirondack Park. With its headquarters located in Ray Brook, the Agency also operates two Visitor Interpretive Centers, in Newcomb and Paul Smiths.
