APA JULY AGENCY MEETING AGENDA


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at its Headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, July 12, 2012. The meeting is one day only and will be webcast live. Please use www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents list to watch the meeting.

The Full Agency will convene at 9:00AM for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report. As part of the Executive Director's report, there will be a presentation of the United States Flag which was flown in Afghanistan in honor of the Adirondack Park Agency.

At 9:30, the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to determine approvability for the Town of Webb's variance request. The Town of Webb seeks a variance to install a non-motorized pedestrian/bicycle/cross country ski bridge over the Middle Branch of the Moose River, a designated recreational river under the New York State Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System Act. The bridge site is located in the Town of Webb, Herkimer County.

The committee will also consider a 13-lot subdivision project proposed by Highland Farms, LP. The project site is located in the Town of Keene, Essex County.

At 11:30, the Local Government Services Committee will hear an Agency staff presentation regarding APA review of variances issued by local Zoning Boards of Appeals as part of the Agency-approved local land use program.

At 1:00, the Full Agency will assemble to take action as necessary.

The meeting will conclude with committee reports, public and member comment.

Following the conclusion of Thursday's meeting, APA Resource Analysis and Scientific Services staff will conduct a wetland recognition and delineation field trip. Staff will provide insight on how technical wetland determinations are ascertained.
