Adirondack Park Agency welcomes new Director of Public Information

APA Executive Director Daniel T. Fitts is pleased to announce Victoria Hristovski, of Lake Placid, as the Agency’s new Director of Public Information.

Originally from Buffalo, Ms. Hristovski has been in the North Country for more than a year working as a reporter and photographer for the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, the Adirondacks’ only daily newspaper. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Media Management, in 1999, from SUNY Fredonia. Attending New York schools all her life, Victoria graduated with an associates degree in Media Arts from Niagara County Community College, and received a degree in Satellite Communication from Seneca Vocational High School in 1991.

"I’m very pleased to welcome Victoria to our staff," said Agency Chairman Richard Lefebvre. "One of the most important objectives of this Agency is to provide a thorough flow of information to the public we serve. Having Victoria on board will enhance our desire to provide as much information as possible."

Before moving to the Adirondacks, Ms. Hristovski worked at WKBW News Channel 7 (an ABC network affiliate in Buffalo) as an intern and then hired as a part-time Newsroom Assistant and researcher, she also worked at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine where she was responsible for data entry and class rotation schedules.

"I feel very fortunate to be working for an Agency and a Governor who has done so much for the North Country," Hristovski said. "This is a great opportunity and I look forward to working with everyone at the Agency."

Ms. Hristovski will be responsible for providing information to the public regarding Agency news and activities, and will organize public outreach forums throughout the Adirondack Park. She will also be responsible for conveying concerns of residents to Agency officials.
