JULY AGENCY BOARD MEETING AGENDA


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at its Headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday July 10. This month's meeting will be one day only. Please use www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents List to watch the meeting.

The Full Agency will come to order at 9:30 AM for Executive Director Martinos monthly report.

At 10:00 AM, the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to determine approvability for a proposed 120 room Marriott Hotel with a restaurant, conference/banquet facilities and retail shops. The proposed site is located in the Village and Town of Lake George, Warren County.

At 10:45 AM, the Park Policy and Planning Committee will consider a technical map amendment for the former Camp Gabriels property located in the Town of Brighton, Franklin County. The Board will consider reclassifying from State Administrative Use to Moderate Intensity Use.

At 11:30 AM, the Local Government Services Committee will come to order to review and take action on a proposed amendment to an Agency approved local land use plan program submitted by the Town of Queensbury to revise their zoning ordinance.

At 12:00 PM, the Full Agency will convene for committee reports, Local Government Review Board comment, public and member comment.

The July meeting will include a field trip to the Wilmington Wild Forest/Beaver Brook Tract multi-use trails. The Field Trip is open to the public. Participants can join tours to hike and/or bike on the Beaver Brook Tract non-motorized multi-use trails (Beginner and Intermediate for Field Trip) located on Hardy Road in Wilmington, Essex County. There will be a briefing on efforts underway to establish Wilmington as a Destination Mountain Bike Area.

Please meet at the Beaver Brook Trail head on Hardy Road in the Town of Wilmington at 2:30 PM:

-From Lake Placid, take Route 86 to Wilmington

-Pass Whiteface Mountain and take the next right onto Fox Farm Road

-At end of Fox Farm Rd, turn right onto Springfield Road

-Travel .9 of a mile on Springfield Road and turn left onto Hardy Road

-Trail Head Parking lot is ~ 1 mile down Hardy Road on right hand side
