Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/contact/public-comment.cfm:

• Rehabilitation of an existing culvert under NYS Route 3 using a steel liner and construction of a step pool in the Town of Clifton, St. Lawrence County.

• A seven-lot subdivision of an 86±-acre parcel to create lots between 10 and 16 acres in size that will allow for the construction of a single-family dwelling, on-site wastewater treatment system, water supply well, and access driveway on each in the Town of Ohio, Herkimer County (P2025-0033).

• A new tourist accommodation comprised of four geodomes measuring less than 300 square-feet each that will be served by above-ground portable toilets in the Town of Brighton, Franklin County (P2024-0252).

• A timber harvest of 502± acres, of which 324± acres are jurisdictional to the Agency and a portion of the jurisdictional harvest area is within 1/8 mile of the Little Moose Wilderness Area, a designated Critical Environmental Area, in the Town of Indian Lake, Hamilton County (P2025-0104).

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
